Franchise Business Review, a franchise market research firm, announced that City Wide has been named to its annual Top 200 Best Franchises list. The list ranks hundreds of participating franchise companies based on overall levels of franchise owner satisfaction and performance.
“Each award we receive is celebrated as if it is our first, but being recognized by Franchise Business Review is always an honor because it involves our franchisees,” said Jeff Oddo, CEO of City Wide Maintenance and Franchise. “Our franchisees are the foundation for the success City Wide Franchise has had for nearly two decades. Knowing they are happy with the support we provide them, the business model and the opportunities they’ve had within their community because of their City Wide business is important to us. We are always engaging with our franchisees and we’re pleased to see those efforts reflected in this ranking.”
The franchise research firm surveyed 28,000 franchisees from more than 300 of the leading franchise brands. Participants were surveyed between June 2019 and November 2019 on topics such as leadership, training and core values as well as questions around the overall enjoyment of running their franchise. These results were then compiled to create the list of the top franchise opportunities for 2020.
“What appealed to us about City Wide was the opportunity to work together and build a family business,” said Alan Matheson, co-owner of City Wide of Central Pennsylvania. “No corporate bosses, no long distance travel and the freedom to be there for our children when we want. Personal effort is directly rewarded with results and as you grow you get to share the success with an ever-growing team of direct staff, independent contractors and happy clients.”
City Wide has made a name for itself in major U.S. cities by streamlining building maintenance solutions for more than 20 interior and exterior services for commercial facilities including janitorial, handyman services and parking lot maintenance. Taking the onus from building owners and property management businesses that typically have to choose separate companies for each task, City Wide eases the selection and management processes for its clients.
Entrepreneurially spirited individuals interested in owning a City Wide franchise should have the ability to invest at least $200,000, which includes working capital and a typical franchise fee of $55,000.
